Katherine Moller is one of New Brunswick's most versatile musicians. Whether she is playing classic fiddle tunes in a crowded pub or the music of Bach on a concert stage, her love and respect for the instrument and its wide-spread appeal have brought her considerable acclaim as one of the province's true fiddle ambassadors.
Started in 2008 by Jenny Jobbins, the Tay Creek Folk Festival offers an opportunity for local musicians to come together and entertain in beautiful country setting. Hosted on Jenny's Tay Creek property, the event actually takes place in her very large and comfortable old horse barn. With a fantastic new "hay wagon" stage built for the 2009 festival, the venue is idyllic. Check out the website to learn more about the festival and the performers who have graced the stage.
A great music shop in downtown Fredericton! Tony's Music Box often supports the various musical events I'm involved in by selling our tickets for us at no charge. They have done this for events being held at the Taymouth Community Centre and they've also done it for both of the Tay Creek Folk Festivals. Thanks to them!
The fantastic location of MacRae Musical Arts Studio. The Ville aims to provide local communities the opportunity to learn, share and grow. By offering a place where learning, recreation, and sustainability are the main focus, our goal is to ensure that people experience what it means to be responsible, successful members of a community.
